Choose a book to share with your child this Christmas...

ree

Schools are breaking up around now and now is the time to choose a book that you can share with your son or daughter this Christmas. You may be going on some long car journeys and choosing an audio book could work for you. If your son or daughter has dyslexia, reading words on a page is tiring, but hearing the words allows him to engage with the words fully. Discussing the book will mean a lot to him or her. My children still remember the books we shared as a family, and they are in their twenties now. Not only do we have shared memories of these books but they both have a life long love of reading and of books.

People with dyslexia can access talking books cheaply at www.listeningbooks.org.uk
